The School Building is an old, beautiful listed building. Originally it served as a barn in 1743, but was rebuilt to become a school building at the beginning of the 1800s. Later on a new floor was added, and that is where the houses East and West are located.
School Building East houses boys in 9 and 10 grades, but sometimes also High School and IB.
Here the students share double rooms that are partly furnished with locker and work desks. Most of the boys bring a sofa to their room plus a coffee table and rug in order to give a nice personal feel to the room.
The dorm teacher is Sammy Sieck, who came to Herlufsholm to teach in 2010, but who himself is also a graduate of Herlufsholm. Sammy lives in his apartment with his nine-year-old twin daughters Hannah and Liva.
