Consent Declaration

In general, Herlufsholm School may not give out information concerning a student to persons who do not have custody of said student. We are, however, aware of the fact that in many homes, it may be relevant for a third party to receive information given by the school. Such third parties might include the student’s weekend family, if he/she has one, grandparents or other family members, with whom the foreign student may live, or families, in which the parents are divorced The information the school sends out may, for example, be a child’s academic progress report or other information on the child’s academic development, the child’s well-being, parent meetings, etc. With the right to information, access is also granted to the school’s parent web-portal, Forældreintra. The school may NOT give out confidential information about a legal guardian’s situation to parents who do not have custody. That is, the consent to information is limited in scope exclusively to information concerning the child’s schooling and active contact with the school, but does not involve the right to make demands. The right to information does not give parents without custody, or other named persons, the right to make requests or demands of the school, nor does it entail party status or permission to represent the child, for example as a parent representative. By ticking the box, you give your consent that parents without custody, or an otherwise named person, may be given information about matters
