After-school activities
At Herlufsholm, we believe that a diverse and challenging extracurricular life contributes to each student's personal and academic development. Therefore, the school offers a wide range of activities.
The activities are for all of the school’s students and are scheduled outside of school hours. For the younger students, activities are primarily placed immediately after the school day ends.
There is a wide selection of 30 different extracurricular activities spread across over 50 weekly sessions. The foundation is always the students’ interests, the school’s traditions, and the opportunities presented by the seasons.
Examples of activities:
- Sports: Badminton, basketball, HIT, football, tennis, volleyball, handball, fitness center, running group, and mountain biking
- Creative: Music, singing, bands, visual arts, free-forming, and craft groups
- Academic: Languages, SoMe group, financial understanding, mathematics, Model United Nations, hunting license, cooking, driver's license, e-sports, SOS Children's Villages.
Dipelhuset - The students' lounge
Dipelhuset serves as the setting for cozy gatherings and often hosts small events on weekday evenings. These range from knitting sessions to debates, and there is usually something sweet to enjoy. The opening hours of Dipelhuset are from 8 AM to 9:30 PM, and everyone is, of course, welcome.
On weekends when students are on campus, there's always something exciting going on. All students have the opportunity to take part in the various weekend activities, which often include cozy get-togethers, sports tournaments, or a mix of activities.
