Our Admission Process
It is an active choice to become a student at Herlufsholm.
When you have made up your mind that Herlufsholm is a good and realistic choice of school for you, you must send in an application. You can send in your application several years in advance, but at Herlufsholm we only enroll students after an interview with parents and student, so you do not gain an advantage by being enrolled in advance.
Even if you seek admission to High school/IB via KOT, you still have to apply directly to Herlufsholm via the application link below.
When we have received your application you are invited to an informal interview. If you have already seen the school and talked with us, we can skip this part. The purpose of the admission interview is to give you and your family an impression of us, the school and the general atmosphere, and to give us an impression of who you are. Day students have an interview of 15-30 minutes with the Head of Middle School, High School or IB. To enroll in the international tracks you have to sit an admission test. Our interviews usually take place in March and April.
The deadline for applying for Middle and High School is 15 March. We do however enroll boarding students throughout the year for all educations. Pre-IB and IB Diploma students (day and boarding) are enroll continuously.
The boarders get an interview of an hour and a half and a tour around the school and the student houses with the Head of Boarding. To enroll in the international branches you have to sit an admission test. The interviews are organized continuously, and if you come from far away, you have the option of coming on a Saturday, for example.
The selection of day students takes place every year in the months of April and March. Enrollment of boarders happens continuously.
